Description

Pomegranate juice contains higher levels of antioxidants than most other fruit juices. The antioxidants in pomegranate juice can help remove free radicals, protect cells from damage, and reduce inflammation. The juice of a single pomegranate has more than 40 percent of the daily requirement of vitamin C. Pomegranate juice recently made a splash when researchers found that it may help stop the growth of prostate cancer cells. Pomegranate juice is a powerful anti-inflammatory because of its high concentration of antioxidants. It can help reduce inflammation throughout the body and prevent oxidative stress and damage. Flavonols in pomegranate juice may help block the inflammation that contributes to osteoarthritis and cartilage damage. Pomegranate was traditionally used as a remedy for diabetes in the Middle East and India. While much is still unknown about the effects of pomegranate on diabetes, it may help decrease insulin resistance and lower blood sugar.

Blueberries are believed to have one of the highest antioxidant levels of all common fruits and vegetables. The antioxidants in blueberries have been shown to reduce a predominant risk factor for heart disease by preventing oxidative damage to “bad” LDL cholesterol. Blueberries appear to have significant benefits for people with high blood pressure, which is a major risk factor for heart disease. The antioxidants in blueberries may affect areas of your brain that are essential for intelligence. They appear to benefit aging neurons, leading to improvements in cell signaling.

Prune juice is made from dried prunes, or plums, which contain many nutrients that can contribute to good health. Prunes are a good source of energy, and don’t give rise to a rapid hike in blood sugar concentration. This is possibly due to their high fiber, fructose, and sorbitol content. While prune juice does not contain the same amount of beneficial fiber as the whole fruit, it still contains a significant amount of fiber and the vitamins and minerals that the whole fruit provides. Prunes and their juice contain mild laxatives including phenolic compounds and sorbitol. Prunes also contain dietary fiber. Prunes did effectively contribute to the restoration of normal bowel function in the general population if consumed in quantities of at least 100g per day. Prunes also have a high antioxidant content.

The antioxidants are believed to stall the progress of Alzheimer disease and protect memory. In addition to vitamin C and vitamin E, Akero Fruit Juice is a good source of folate, potassium, and vitamin K.
